Personal Training for Markham Clients
You don’t need to be downtown three times a week. You need a program built from real measurements — and a studio worth the trip when you are.
How Markham clients train with us
Online most weeks. Downtown when it counts.
Markham is the longest haul of the regions we serve — about 50 minutes from Markham GO to Union on the Stouffville line, longer by car when the 404 and DVP are doing what they do. We’re not going to pretend that’s a casual three-times-a-week trip. So the coaching model doesn’t ask for it.
Most Markham clients run the hybrid program with an online-first split: programming, nutrition targets, and check-ins happen in the app, adjusted from your data every two weeks. Studio visits are reserved for what actually requires the studio — your baseline assessment, coached Foundation Training sessions, and periodic retesting to verify the program is doing what the numbers say it should.
If you work downtown, ignore all of the above — the studio at 460 Richmond St W is minutes from the core, and a 6am or evening session fits around a Union commute in either direction. Markham’s GO expansion is bringing more frequent electric service to Unionville; the trip is only getting easier.

FAQ
Markham questions, answered.
How often would I actually need to come downtown from Markham?+
Less than you’d think. The hybrid model puts programming, nutrition, and check-ins online, so the studio visits that matter are your initial assessment, coached Foundation Training sessions, and retesting — for most Markham clients that settles into a rhythm of one or two studio visits per month, with everything else running remotely. If you commute to downtown for work anyway, you can fold sessions into your workday instead: the studio is a short hop from Union at 460 Richmond St W.
What’s the best way to get to the studio from Markham?+
The Stouffville GO line serves four Markham stations — Unionville, Centennial, Markham, and Mount Joy — and runs to Union Station; from Markham GO the trip is about 50 minutes. From Union, take the 504 or 510 streetcar or walk about 15 minutes to 460 Richmond St W. Driving, it’s the 404 to the DVP; there are two municipal lots within a block. Most clients pick whichever matches the day — train for weekday sessions, car for weekend mornings when the roads are clear.
Is remote coaching as effective as training in person?+
For programming and accountability, yes — because it’s anchored to measurement, not memory. Your program adjusts every two weeks based on your logged sessions and scheduled rescans, the same data loop in-studio clients run. What online coaching can’t replace is a coach’s eye on your movement, which is exactly what your in-studio sessions are for: technique under load, movement screening, and testing. The split gives Markham clients the expensive parts of coaching in person and the routine parts without the commute.
What does it cost, all-in?+
Hybrid coaching is $387/month and includes coached in-studio sessions, your full training program, nutrition targets, and ongoing check-ins — no per-session billing, no surprise add-ons. Standalone options if you want to start smaller: a biosignature assessment is $167 and VO2 max testing is $177, both single visits with no membership attached. The free 20-minute consultation — by phone if you’d rather not make the trip yet — covers exact pricing for your goals before you commit to anything.
Can I start with testing before committing to coaching?+
That’s the route we’d suggest from Markham. Book a biosignature assessment or VO2 max test as a single visit: you get baseline numbers, an honest read on where training would move the needle first, and a look at the studio — all in about an hour. If you continue into coaching, that baseline becomes the reference every later rescan is measured against. If you don’t, the data is still yours, and it’s more than most gyms will ever measure.
Do your hours work with the Stouffville line schedule?+
The studio runs 6am–9pm weekdays and 8am–4pm weekends, which brackets the GO schedule comfortably in both directions. Markham clients who work downtown usually book before-work or end-of-day sessions and ride the line as normal. For dedicated trips, mid-morning and early-afternoon sessions avoid peak trains entirely. Book through the contact form or call (437) 237-7524 — we typically respond within 48 hours.
